Hello! Welcome to Liz Wylde Occupational Therapy!
Welcome

I am an Occupational Therapist with over 17 years of experience supporting neurodivergent adults and adults with learning disabilities. My services are designed for people aged 18 and over, delivered on a one-to-one basis, with the option of training and guidance for families, carers, educators, and professionals.
Support Tailored to You
If you have a diagnosis of autism, ADHD, or both, I can help you understand and process what that means for your life. Many people feel a mixture of relief and uncertainty after diagnosis, and my role is to help you make sense of your experiences and to acknowledge your strengths. You do not need to have a diagnosis to benefit from my support — together we can explore your needs, set meaningful goals, and create strategies that allow you to grow and move forward.
The Benefits of Occupational Therapy
Working with me offers a range of benefits:
Clarity and understanding
I can help you to make sense of your diagnosis and your experiences prior to diagnosis without judgement.
Goal setting
We can work together to identify what matters most to you and create achievable, step-by-step plans.
Improved daily living
I can help you to develop strategies to aid in developing and maintaining routines, planning and organisation, time management, energy and fatigue management, task paralysis, skills development, and sensory regulation.
Better wellbeing
I will work with you and help you to identify your strengths, develop confidence, improve participation in everyday activities, and to have a balance of activities that include productive tasks, leisure, and self-care.
Family and professional support
I am able to provide guidance and training in both family and workplace settings to help improve understanding of neurodiversity and be prepared to provide adjustments if needed.
Empowerment
I will help you to develop the confidence to advocate for yourself, communicate your needs and boundaries, and to request support in a way that works for you.
My Approach
I am passionate about helping people to improve their health, wellbeing, and independence. I will always work with you in a way that respects your preferred communication style and personal goals. This approach ensures the support is meaningful, practical, and sustainable for your everyday life.
Assessments and Signposting
If you are considering a diagnostic assessment, I understand how valuable and validating that can be. I am able to carry out autism assessments, and where ADHD is concerned, I can connect you with trusted clinicians for reliable evaluations.
Support for Fatigue and Burnout
As someone with lived experience of ME/CFS, I am particularly committed to supporting adults with fatigue or burnout. Together we can explore pacing strategies, energy management, and ways to maintain balance in your daily life; helping you reduce overwhelm and improve resilience.
Professional Standards You Can Trust
I hold Enhanced DBS Certification and Professional Indemnity Insurance, and I am registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC), the Royal College of Occupational Therapy (RCOT), and the Information Commissioner’s Office. You can feel confident knowing that your support is delivered safely, ethically, and professionally.
Moving Forward Together
If you are looking for an Occupational Therapist specialising in autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, or fatigue, I would be delighted to work with you. My aim is to help you feel understood, empowered, and supported so that you can live a healthier, balanced, and fulfilling life.
